Ashley Stacy sets a new Air Force Record in the Finals at the JROTC National Championship. She placed in the top eight individuals each day during the competition, and those eight shoot a ten shot "finals" format. The Finals are scored in a decimal format, where a "10" may be worth 10 points or up to 10.9 points based on how close to absolute center the shot is...Ms. Stacy finished the second day final with a total of 104.1 points, setting a new Air Force Record. Her superb performance on the last day of the competition vaulted her into second place overall for the event, with some of the best junior shooters in the world.
Cadet Rayven Fincher is the 2017 Individual State Champion!
After a strong performance in the 3x10 qualification match where she finished with the same score and only one center hit behind the leader, Cadet Fincher put up an even stronger final where she passed the leader on the first shot. A very close match up through the fifth shot in the final, she maintained composure and extended her lead to become the Individual GHSA Champion!
